In conjunction with “STILL…Racism in America: A Retrospective in Cartoons” at the UC Davis Design Museum, the School of Education’s Expanding Equity in Educational Research Speaker Series offers a presentation by Enrique García and an interview discussion with cartoonist Barbara Brandon-Croft and exhibition curator Tara Nakashima Donahue on “Comics, Identity & Representation.”

Moderated by the School of Education’s Darnel Degand, the program explores how comics have evolved beyond entertainment to become powerful voices that can educate and inspire readers.

This event begins at 6:00 p.m. in the UC Davis Design Museum, and moves to Cruess Hall 1002 at 6:30 p.m. for the program. A catered reception begins at 7:45 p.m. The event is free and participants must register here
